About Us

As our motto ‘A Community Learning Together’ suggests, we are a 'community school' and enjoy high levels of parental support. We hope you enjoy researching about our school. At Ridgehaven our aim is to provide quality teaching and learning with a focus on continuous improvement. We understand that the education of children is a shared responsibility between ourselves, children and parents. Therefore we believe the sharing of information is of utmost importance. Ridgehaven Primary School community welcomes any queries you may have.

Ridgehaven Primary School is located 17km north east of Adelaide and is comprised of a separate Preschool and a Reception to Year 7 Primary School. We have spacious and attractive grounds and great facilities that are constantly being upgraded. We offer a broad curriculum with a key focus on literacy and numeracy knowledge and skills. Science, Japanese and Physical Education are supported by school based specialist teachers.

The inclusive culture of the school is shaped by our five values; Caring, Honesty, Excellence, Respect and Responsibility with staff, students and the parent community working closely together to support each other through the reinforcing of these values.

At Ridgehaven teachers and support staff are caring and approachable. Parent involvement in programs and decision making is welcomed. Clear two-way communication between home and school is highly valued. Student participation is encouraged and developed through class meetings, the Ridgehaven Student Forum and various committees.

At Ridgehaven Primary School staff members focus on your child as an individual and recognise his/her differences, experiences and needs. We invite you to work in partnership with us as we build on the foundations which you as parents have established at home and work together to make your child’s education an enriching experience.

It is our belief that learning is a life-long process and identifying, understanding and valuing the particular learning style of each child is of great importance to the education provided for your child.

Please don’t hesitate to contact the school for more information or a personal meeting or tour. We would welcome the opportunity to show you what Ridgehaven has to offer. This is a great place to learn and work.

Kind regards
Jean Perks
